Fresh Start Animal Rescue is the ONLY animal rescue shelter in Boone County.

Our mission is to provide a safe, healthy environment to animals rescued from high kill shelters and animal control agencies where they are marked for euthanasia.  Our goal is to find loving homes for these animals with people who will care for them.  Come inside to see some of our sweet, loving mixed breed puppies, cats, dogs, and kittens.  We are NOT an intake facility for strays or owner turn-ins, unfortunately our space is limited and we cannot accept any animals from individuals.  If you do have puppies or kittens PLEASE DO NOT place "free to good home" ads, every life has value, and people who value pet lives are willing to pay a fee to give a good home to your unwanted animal.  Too many times these animals given away are used as bait or food.
